Kevin Campbell was admitted to the practice of law in South Carolina in 1973 following his graduation from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Citadel in 1970. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court of the District of South Carolina, as well as all courts in the State of South Carolina. The State of South Carolina certified him as a bankruptcy specialist in 1993 and re-certified in 1998. This designation recognizes him as an expert in the field of law dealing with the rights of debtors and creditors. The American Bankruptcy Institute, a national organization, in 1993, also certified him as a consumer and business bankruptcy specialist. He was re-certified in 1999. Mr. Campbell was appointed to serve on the Panel of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustees in 1979, a position he currently holds. He was a member of the Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee of the District of South Carolina from 1994 to 1996. He was elected president of the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association in 1999. This association is comprised of bankruptcy professionals throughout South Carolina. He is a frequent lecturer on debtor and creditor rights. He is a member of the Charleston County Bar Association and the South Carolina Bar Association. He is the past president of the Consumer Credit Association, a group comprised of lenders in the Charleston area. He is also the past chairman of the board of Mason Preparatory School and a former member of the Parish Council at Christ our King Church in Mount Pleasant. Mr. Campbell was born in New York on October 6, 1948. He is married to Martha Maguire Campbell of Charleston, South Carolina. They reside in Mount Pleasant with their two children, Kevin and Suzanne.
